New Beginnings: Embracing Change
Change is like a silent stalker, always present, always watching, always waiting to show its face. Change rarely stirs anxiety within me, for as a child I saw how scared people get when change comes and I didn't want to become afraid of the uncertainty of life. I decided to trust that whatever happens, I will be happy and God is with me.
On those rare occasions when uncertainty does creep in, I've developed a strategy: I confront my feelings head-on, dissecting what exactly makes me uneasy. This introspection has taught me a valuable lesson: embrace change, do your utmost to adapt, and release what's beyond your control.
The future, by its very nature, is unpredictable. Dwelling on endless "what ifs" only robs us of present joy. I've found serenity in crafting my plans while remaining receptive to God's greater design, which promises a glorious culmination.
This year has ushered in numerous changes, but launching this newsletter has been my greatest fear. As someone unaccustomed to the world of blogging, both as a reader and writer, this adventure has pushed me far beyond my comfort zone. Yet, the realization that I could embark on this journey ignited a spark of excitement, dread and determination within me.
Don’t let the uncertainty of life stop you from enjoying it. Not enjoyment in the form of material things, but enjoyment in the sense of wellness of the heart.
Despite trepidation about potentially falling short in my passion for writing, I'm taking this courageous step forward. Consistency will be my north star. I pledge 🙋🏽♀️ to reach out to you twice monthly, on the first and third weeks. While the topics will vary, my aim remains constant: to blend peace, humour, and biblical truth in every message.
Please ask questions, and I will answer to the best of my ability. Share your comments and opinions, I would love to hear what you think.
Anywoo, in the spirit of new beginnings, I leave you with this timeless blessing from Numbers 6:26: "May the Lord show you His favour and give you His peace."
Welcome to a new month! July stands before us as a canvas for fresh starts. Through consistency, we can nurture our endeavours towards excellence.
May your month be filled with wonder and growth!
P.S. I invite you to read my latest article in Shuzia magazine, found on page 16. You can access it here: [https://heyzine.com/flip-book/13e57c984c.html]
Don’t forget to share this newsletter with friends and cousins.
Enjoy the month ahead ✌

"...embrace change, do your utmost to adapt, and release what's beyond your control."
No truer words have been spoken.
It's usually difficult to take these steps as you've outlined them here because humans generally like to feel or be in control.
Unfortunately the future, like you said, is by nature unpredictable. Refusing to adapt only leaves us frustrated and anxious.
Thank you for the reminder to enjoy(in wellness of being) all that comes our way while trusting that God always has the best plans for us.
